You might have noticed we have now got a second Nursery( 8 ewes and 14 lambs) in the right large pen. This gets the sun which the lambs enjoyed over the weekend. This has become nursery no2. The lambs here range from 10 days old down to 4 days old. The Barn nursery pen where they are all older, has 12 ewes with their lambs.

As he is still with us and very much at home with our ewes and lambs, I think it is time to give him a name. Any suggestions? He is probably a Light Sussex.

Saw on our own webcam the result of an escape intentional or otherwise. Ewe and lamb out with the expectant mums. The lamb too young to know which his mum was. A bit of a rugby tackle but all in safely again.

Ended as two sets of twins. The first ones are ewe lambs. The photo I posted was the first. I gave mum a little help with the second. While being busy with that, the ewe now in pen 2 dropped he first lamb without any warning. I opened the pen and she was happy to go in and promptly produced number two. Both ram lambs - but you can't win them all!
My phone ran out of juice so more photos tonight.
