The following Performances at Kentwell - which is continuing with its programme of Open Air Entertainments when so many currently are not.
Romeo & Juliet - This lovely play and GB Theatre Co's production of it has received rave reviews. At Kentwell on Sat 23 at 7.45pm & Sun 24 July at 3.00pm with seats available under cover.
Bring a picnic and enjoy a rare performance led by Gabriel thomson star of TV's My Family and an excellent supporting cast.
Also Twelfth Night on Fri 22 and Sun 24 July both nights at 7.45pm which is surely one of Shakespeare's funniest comedies with some excellent characters in Malvolio, Sir Toby Belch and Sir Andrew Aguecheek - such names suggest a Carry On farce and its not that far removed.
Then this year's Gilbert & Sullivan fare on Saturday 30 July at 7.30pm is Patience. Its a satire on the aesthetic movement of the late 19th C or artistic types well represented by today's 'luvvies' the number of whom seems to be constantly spiralling.
As usual I shall look forward to the South Anglia Savoy Players interpretation, their lavish costumes and some more of their lush choruses.
We end this short season on Sat 6 August with another Glenn Miller 1940s Night.
A night for you to dress in your 1940s gear indulge yourself in nostalgia and, if the fancy takes you, dance the evening away.
